Santa Steam Special
We are pleased to announce the third running of our Santa Steam Special. Once again we shall be raising funds for our two local parish churches, Saint Michael and All Angles, Lyonshall and Saint Peter, Titley.
The Kingfisher Line volunteers will be running trains from 1100hrs until dusk. Our Steam Engine Peckett No. 1738, which has just returned to Titley after major restoration and repairs, will be steaming for the first time in four years. The engine will be pulling a 1960′s DMU Class 117 Rail-car.
The PCC of Lyonshall & Titley Parish Churches are hosting a Christmas Fayre in a heated Marquee kindly donated by Burgoynes of Lyonshall.
Santa and his Helpers will be in his grotto, on our converted & restored 1938 LMS Engineers Saloon, Santa will be happy to receive letters and Christmas Wishes from all the children as well as giving presents to all those well behaved girls & boys.
"Wiz" our local celebrity famed for his generosity & community spirit will be opening the event at 1100hrs on Saturday 10th December 2011.
We do hope you can all attend and enjoy a trully local community event that last year was enjoyed by all who braved the cold.
